How to Use a Mini Compressor

Airbrushes allow you to complete large painting tasks quickly and with minimal required effort. They use miniature air compressors to force paint through a nozzle, so by sweeping the nozzle back and forth slowly over a surface, you are able to quickly cover that surface in paint. Connecting an airbrush to a mini compressor usually involves routing it through a filter/regulator that removes moisture from the compressed air. Other than that, the connection is very simple

Instructions

  1. 1

Place a little bit of joint compound on the male end of the airbrush fitting and plug the airbrush fitting into the airbrush hose. Take care not to over-tighten the fitting onto the hose.

  2. 2

Attach the airbrush hose onto the regulator in the same manner as the previous step.

  3. 3

Attach the regulator to the compressor in the same manner as the previous steps.

  4. 4

Plug the compressor directly into a wall outlet and turn it on. Check for air leaks before using the airbrush.
